When it comes to the doggy-style position, why is it that the canine crew get all of the credit, when it seems like that’s the go-to position for most of the animal world? These are the kinds of questions you find yourself asking when you read that going to the zoo can help your sex life.
Although seeing exotic animals is cool, between the screaming kids and crazy smells, “horny” isn’t exactly how we feel while we’re walking around the zoo. But according to Zoo Miami ambassador Ron Magill, we humans could learn a heck of a lot about sex if we only paid more attention to the animal kingdom.
According to Magill (in an interview with The Chicago Tribune), "We can learn a lot from animals because they are doing what comes naturally. You can't get any more natural than nature." Magill is so firm in his belief that he actually does a presentation called "Sex & Animals," and claims that going to the zoo can be a great date option.
When we first thought about what he was saying, we were like, "Yeah, right." Cats in heat aren’t super-erotic. But then he brought up a point that we couldn’t refute. "If you go to the zoo on any given day, animals are having sex and that becomes the No. 1 attraction," he said. "People are naturally curious. And no one is going to judge you at the zoo."
Animal porn. That’s basically what it is, right? And yes, he’s spot-on. If animals are having sex just a few feet away from us, it’s gonna catch — and usually hold — our attention. That’s Magill’s bottom line point.
After working with animals for over three decades, Magill says that it’s taught him to embrace the moment, enjoy sex, and not take sex so seriously. He believes that if all of us took on that kind of attitude, our sex lives would significantly improve.
Hey, let’s not knock it until we try it.
