🎶 He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake...aaaand he's dead. 🎶
According to the Washington Post, archaeologists in Southern Turkey have discovered the tomb of the OG Santa Claus, beneath the St. Nicholas Church by the Mediterranean Sea. Talk about a nightmare before Christmas!
So for all of you that think Santa is nothing but a fictional character created in the name of capitalism, you are wrong. Santa is definitely real, he's just...buried six feet under.
The archeologists believe they found the bones of Saint Nicholas of Myra, the monk who was known for his anonymous gift-giving. History tells us that merchants dug up his bones and transported them to Italy back in 1087, but history couldn't be more wrong. (At least according to this archaeologists in Turkey.)
Dead, alive, or somewhere in between, we're just thankful Saint Nicholas' spirit lives on every December. Now, back to the pumpkin spice stuff!
